Norwalk sports gaming site owner pleads guilty to tax evasion

The owner of the Norwalk-based sports gaming information website has pleaded guilty to one count of tax evasion.

Ryan S. Rozycki acknowledged that he failed to report more than $1.1 million in taxable income earned between 2009 and 2014. Rozycki reported more than $1.6 million in gross receipts on his federal income tax returns, but deposited his taxable income into his personal bank accounts and ultimately failed to pay $371,161 in taxes.

Rozycki, who was released on a $100,000 bond pending sentencing, faces a maximum term of imprisonment of five years, a fine of up to approximately $742,000, and back taxes, interest and penalties.
