According to Executive Director Bill Finch, the café was created in response to requests from parents and grandparents visiting the museum.
“As a parent, and avid coffee drinker, I wasn’t shocked when folks would come up to me and say, ‘This place is fantastic, but it would be great if while we’re here, we could also grab a quick, high-quality cup of coffee,’” Finch said. “But the sheer volume of folks asking for it was far more than I anticipated, and once we realized it, we acted quickly to meet the demand.”
The Shearwater organic small-batch coffee will be served fresh at $2.00 per 12 oz. cup.
