Westport’s Gemspring Capital acquires Rapid Displays

Gemspring Capital, a Westport-based private equity firm has acquired Rapid Displays Inc., a provider of point-of-purchase displays and related services. The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Rapid Displays has a 500-person workforce and more than 1 million square feet of manufacturing and distribution space across its headquarters city of Chicago and in the San Francisco Bay Area. It provides creative design, engineering, prototyping, production and logistics for its custom retail displays, store fixtures, kiosks and other end-to-end visual merchandising solutions. Its customer base includes retailers and consumer brands in North America and in overseas markets.
