Xerox Corp. has named Naresh Shanker as senior vice president and chief technology officer, effective May 6. He will also serve as a member of the company’s executive committee.
Shanker replaces Steve Hoover, who was named CEO of the Palo Alto Research Center, a Xerox company, earlier this year. Hoover replaced Mark Bernstein, who retired.
Prior to joining the Norwalk-headquartered Xerox, Shanker was chief information officer of HP Inc. Earlier in his career, he held senior leadership roles at Palm Inc. and Agilent Technologies. Shanker also holds a U.S. patent for developing software that enables high-volume, microtransactions from a digital storefront.
