There will be a strong Larchmont connection at an event planned for July 14 in Litchfield County.
If you recall from our profile of artist Jackie Battenfield in the May issue, the artist’s work is represented by Kenise Barnes Fine Art in Larchmont.
And, as we noted, the gallery namesake was set to open a second gallery, with Battenfield among those featured in the opening show of Kenise Barnes Fine Art in Kent.
Now, we’ve heard again from Barnes that she is inviting art lovers to “head to the Litchfield Hills” this weekend, when her new gallery will host its “friends at Peridot Fine Jewelry” for a summer trunk show.
WAG, you may also recall, featured Peridot Fine Jewelry in Larchmont back in 2016.
So, as you see, the Larchmont contingent will be strong in Kent.
The fine-jewelry summer trunk show, set from noon to 5 p.m., will showcase designs from jewelry artists including Jamie Joseph, Polly Wales, Rosanne Pugliese and Julie Rofman.
Those attending the trunk show will also want to check out the gallery, where “Cool & Collected CT,” a group exhibition featuring artwork from its roster of contemporary artists, including Battenfield, opens July 13 and continues through Sept. 8, while “The Loft in CT: Photography and Small Treasures,” a collection of small framed works on paper, sculpture and art objects, continues through Dec. 31.
Kenise Barnes Fine Art in Kent is at 7 Fulling Lane.
