As you have read here, WAG is always up for sampling a new product.

And one that came our way recently is not only new to the U.S. market but quite a unique taste treat.

The Danish confectionary brand Lakrids by Bülow, which marked its 10th anniversary in 2017, has introduced its singular luxury licorice candy to the U.S. market.

Here’s how the brand describes it all:

“… Lakrids by Bülow’s entry to the U.S. market marks the first opportunity Americans have to try real licorice, but with a mouth-watering twist: premium licorice wrapped in luxurious chocolate in fan-favorite flavors like salted caramel or strawberries and cream.”

Lakrids, we also learned, sources premium licorice root from all over the globe to ensure the highest quality of its products, which are sold in select American markets and online.

Well, we took a taste – and it was indeed a memorable bite. Devoted American licorice lovers may likely become fast fans, joining quite a contingent of chefs and consumers in Scandinavia.
