WAG likes nothing more than a local success story – and Samantha Levine’s latest news certainly fits the bill.
Levine, first profiled in WAG back in 2013, is the Mount-Kisco based jewelry designer and force behind Auburn Jewelry.
She’s kept in touch ever since, her company’s growth traced here – and in our print edition – through numerous updates.
And the latest update Levine shared is pretty big news – as in the debut of a new collection that takes her work nationwide.
As her press release shared, “Auburn Jewelry is excited to announce the launch of their first national collaboration with preppy clothing and accessory retailer Vineyard Vines. Inspired by the brand’s nautical, New England roots, the Auburn Jewelry for Vineyard Vines collection is designed to be classic, preppy and fun – and arrives just in time for the holidays.”
Levine noted that it was back in May that she, the brand’s founder and designer, was approached to do a pop-up event at the Vineyard Vines store on Greenwich Avenue in Greenwich.
Levine said when Greenwich native Shep Murray – who co-founded the brand with his brother, Ian – walked in, she introduced herself, despite being starstruck.
“As a fellow Skidmore alum, I have long admired Shep’s vision for the brand,” she said in the announcement. “Vineyard Vines has been on my bucket list of brands to work with, and I couldn’t imagine a more perfect collaboration for my first national partnership.”
The Auburn Jewelry for Vineyard Vines collection features four pendants, including the classic Vineyard Vines whale logo in the signature pink, teal and navy colorways, as well as American and Texas flag designs. The pendants retail for $72 for minis, $92 for originals and $112 for the flags and are available at nearly a dozen Vineyard Vines stores across the country, including those in Greenwich and at Grand Central Terminal in Manhattan.
WAG offers its sincere congratulations to Levine – and looks forward to further updates.
