Let’s be honest:  The hunt for new workout gear isn’t always the most fun type of shopping spree. If you’re tired of wearing the same old ratty, threadbare T-shirt to the gym, we’ve got just the service for you.

Ellie is an activewear subscription box that sends you a fashion-forward, high-quality three-piece activewear outfit each month. The outfits are coordinated by color, pattern and style and are sure to turn heads at your next cycling or barre class. The sets typically come with a pair of leggings, a top and a sports bra, each of which is tailored to your personal size on your profile. In addition to the outfit, you can choose to add on two fitness accessories at an added charge to help jump start your workout.

Ellie was kind enough to send us a box for review. It arrived in a timely manner in an adorable rose gold foil box – before we even opened it, we were impressed just by the packaging. We received the Knot Your Average collection, which included the Ayava tank, a coral workout top with an open, tie back, the Annabell sports bra, a black sports bra with mesh trim for an added pop of style, and the Hendrix leggings, a pair of black leggings with coral reflective graphics at the calf to keep us protected in the streets while coordinating perfectly with the matching top. I decided to share the love with a much more active co-worker, Kelsie, who took home the top and leggings while I brought home the sports bra.

Kelsie had all good things to say about the clothing. They fit well and were comfortable to wear during one of her many early morning workouts. (Kudos to you, Kelsie, for making it to the gym before work). I really enjoyed the sports bra, too. It can be difficult for me to find a sports bra that fits without digging into my sides, but because this one had a bit of a long line fit, it was even more comfortable than the pricier sports bras in my collection. Overall, we give the Ellie clothing two thumbs up when it comes to fit and style.

Not only does Ellie provide its subscribers with attractive, affordable workout gear, but it also supports women – something that WAG considers of the utmost value. Ellie is partnered with the EmpowHer Institute, a nonprofit whose mission is to encourage at-risk girls and women in Los Angeles through mentorship, job shadowing, clothing donation, financial donation and more. So, if the trendy activewear isn’t enough to get you to subscribe, know that you’ll be making a difference in the lives of young women who need it most.
